Noting the rapid growth of syphilis cases across Brazil, a partnership between LAIS, the Ministry of Health and PAHO – Pan American Health Organization started a project that provides for effective actions and applied research (in academic and medical areas) , initially, in 100 priority municipalities. The Project operates in four distinct axes: management and governance, surveillance, comprehensive care and strengthening of education and communication.
